01What you're paying for
What's included, and why it's there
Every Vunoon plan is the same AI phone assistant underneath — the tiers simply reflect how many calls you handle and how much you need it to connect to. Here's what sits behind each line on the pricing card, in plain terms.
- Answered calls, not minutes
- We count whole conversations, not metered minutes, so you're never watching a clock mid-call. A two-minute booking and a six-minute, three-question chat both count as one answered call. The allowance on each plan — 100 on Starter, 400 on Professional, unlimited on Scale — is sized to match how busy a real phone gets, from a solo practice to a multi-location operation.
- Booking, messages and FAQs from day one
- Appointment booking, message-taking and answering your common questions are in every plan, including Starter. That's the core of what a virtual receptionist does, and we don't believe in charging extra for the basics. The assistant reads your hours and services, offers real open slots, and emails you a clean summary of who called and what they wanted.
- Languages and smart transfer as you grow
- Starter answers in one language — right for a single-location business serving one community. Professional unlocks all 28 languages and smart transfer, so an urgent or complex caller is handed to the right person on your team instead of a voicemail. This is the line most growing businesses cross first.
- Integrations and a human at Scale
- Scale adds the plumbing for bigger operations: multiple numbers and locations, CRM and API connections so calls flow into the tools you already use, and a dedicated success manager who knows your account. It's priced to your call volume because no two multi-location businesses ring the same way.
02How to choose
Picking the right plan
You don't need to predict your call volume to the decimal. Start with how your phone actually behaves today, then match it to the smallest plan that covers a normal month — you can move up the moment you outgrow it.
If you're a solo business — one location, one language, mostly bookings and messages — Starter is built for you. A hundred answered calls covers most independent practices, salons and trades comfortably, and it's the plan to choose if your goal is simply to stop letting the phone ring out while you work.
If the phone barely stops, if you serve customers in more than one language, or if some calls genuinely need to reach a person, Professional is the natural home. The bigger allowance and smart transfer mean the assistant handles the routine and routes the rest, so your team only picks up the calls that truly need them. Most multi-staff offices land here.
If you run several locations, push high volumes, or need calls to land inside your CRM automatically, Scale is the right conversation. Because it's tailored to your volume and integrations, the best first step is to talk it through with us rather than guess at a number.
Still unsure? Start free and watch the test calls and early traffic for a week or two. The dashboard shows how many calls came in and what they were about, which makes the right tier obvious — and switching takes one click, with no penalty either way.
03The return, in plain terms
What an answered call is actually worth
Pricing only makes sense once you know what the thing on the other end of the line is worth to you. Most owners never put a figure on a single phone call — but every business quietly runs on them, and the math is more in your favour than it feels in the moment.
A call is rarely just a call
When the phone rings, it's almost never someone with idle curiosity. It's a person who wants something now: a slot this week, an answer before they decide, a quote they can act on. That caller has already done the hard part — they found you, they picked up the phone, and they're ready to talk. The value of answering isn't the conversation itself; it's everything that conversation unlocks. A booked appointment becomes a paying visit. A clear answer becomes a yes instead of a maybe. So the right way to weigh an AI receptionist isn't against the cost of the plan — it's against the value of the customer who was trying to reach you and got through.
The expensive part is the call you never hear
The calls that hurt are the ones that don't leave a trace. A caller who hits voicemail rarely leaves a message and rarely calls back — they simply phone the next name on the list. You never see that loss on a report, which is exactly why it's so easy to ignore. It shows up as a quiet week, a slow afternoon, a calendar with gaps you can't quite explain. An assistant that answers the calls you'd otherwise miss isn't adding new demand; it's recovering demand that was already yours and was walking out the door. That recovered business is the real return, and it's invisible precisely because it never happened before.
Think in repeat value, not single sales
There's a second layer most people leave out of the sum. A new customer who gets through, has a good first experience and books in isn't worth one visit — they're worth every visit after it, and often the people they refer. A receptionist that answers reliably at lunch, after hours and during the rush is quietly protecting the start of those long relationships, not just catching one-off jobs. Weigh it that way and the question flips: it stops being whether the assistant earns back its cost, and becomes how many of those first impressions you can afford to keep losing to a ringing phone.
Put simply: you're not paying to answer phones — you're paying to stop handing ready customers to whoever picks up next.
Pricing questions
Is there really a free start?
Yes, and there's no card needed to begin. You build your assistant, give it your hours, services and FAQs, then run as many test calls as you like from your own phone to hear exactly how it answers. You only pick a paid plan at the moment you connect your real business number and let it go live. Until then, every test call is free, so you can tune the wording, the greeting and the booking flow before a single customer ever reaches it.
What counts as an answered call?
An answered call is any inbound call the assistant actually picks up and handles for you — booking an appointment, taking a message, answering a question or routing the caller to your team. Calls that the system filters as spam or robocalls before they reach the assistant don't count against your plan, and neither do your own test calls. So the number on your plan reflects real conversations with real callers, not noise.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are monthly and you can cancel, pause or change tier whenever you want — there's no setup fee, no minimum term and no exit penalty. If you started annually for the two-months-free rate, you keep that rate for the year you paid for; otherwise you're never locked in beyond the current month.
What if I need more calls?
Two easy paths. You can move up a tier at any time and the change takes effect immediately, or you can stay where you are and simply pay per extra call beyond your monthly allowance. Either way we send you a heads-up as you approach your limit, so a busy month never turns into a surprise on your bill.
Does every plan really include setup?
Yes. Onboarding is part of every plan, not a paid add-on. Starter is built to set up yourself in a few minutes with guided steps, while Professional and Scale include a live onboarding call where we sit with you, import your services and calendar, and listen to test calls together until it sounds right. You're never handed an empty dashboard and left to figure it out.
How should I think about the cost?
Compare it to what a single missed call costs you. For most small businesses one booked appointment, one new patient or one quoted job pays for the assistant for a month or more — and it's catching those calls at lunch, after hours and during the rush when the phone would otherwise ring out. Measured against a part-time receptionist or a per-call answering service, a flat monthly plan that works 24/7 is usually the cheaper line on the page.
